Parent Volunteers- Ground Crew
We are inviting you to be a part of our “Ground Crew”. No, we are not asking you to mow our lawn or trim the hedges. Just as astronauts at NASA are supported by the ground crew before a launch, we are asking for adult volunteers to support our students by being in the building during the school day. Parents, grandparents, guardians, etc. will have the opportunity to visit our school during lunch periods and before and after school. You would simply be a presence on campus. Research tells us that students benefit greatly just by having caring adults on campus during less structured times. It shows them that their community cares about them. By being present and visible, you will help students to make better decisions and to feel more connected with each other and their educational experiences.
